50 Year Reunion
Date: September 10, 2010 to September 12, 2010
Tau Delts who graduated in June of 1960 plan to return to Happy Valley for a 50th year reunion on the non-home football weekend beginning Friday, September 10th in 2010, and the members of that class invite the following Delts to join them:
• Delts who are members of Tau Company
• Tau Delts who graduated in 1970 (for their 40th year reunion), 1980 (for their 30th year reunion), 1990 (for their 20th year reunion), and 2000 (for their 10th year reunion)
• All Delts who attended a previous reunion held at Toftrees approximately 4 years ago
25 rooms have been reserved at the Nittany Lion Inn.  The cost per night is $119 plus tax (a two night stay is required).

Phi Delt house to be demolished

The university's decision to convert the former Phi Delta Theta fraternity house into a "green space" has elicited disappointment from the greek community.

Penn State bought the 243 N. Burrowes property for $1.75 million in May, after a legal dispute with the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

The fraternity was disbanded in 2007 for drinking violations.

The decision was made to turn the property into a "green space" -- complete with sidewalks and benches, university spokeswoman Annemarie Mountz said.

The demolition process began Monday evening (7/26), when contractors put up fencing around the construction area, Mountz said.
