DTD was filled with many fun memories, and served as the foundation for great friendships that have lasted well beyond graduation. But we know that the DTD connections have likely led to great job opportunities too. Did you land a job thanks to a career network formed at DTD? Share your story on the message board. Also, if you’re looking for a new job or looking to hire, the DTD brotherhood is a great place to network. You can share your details on the message board, and hopefully find your next career path or great employee. Library Renovations From the generosity of our beloved alumni, the Fraternity house’s library received a lovely renovation. Before the renovation, the library was used purely for the storage of old books and trophies. There weren’t any chairs or desks in the library, so brothers were unable to do any work in the room. Not only was the library repainted, eight desks and chairs were added to the room. Now, brothers don’t have to take a fifteen minute trip to study, they can simply walk downstairs in the comfort of their own house and get work done. KD Shamrock at DTD On Sunday March 25th, the ladies of the Kappa Delta Sorority hosted their annual KD Shamrock at Delta Tau Delta. The KD Shamrock is Kappa Delta’s annual flag football philanthropy event. Fraternities and sororities compete against each other to be crowned champion in their respective brackets. Delt Philanthropy Chair Kendall Quinn (Class of 2015) woke up early Sunday morning and painted a football field on the front lawn. Everyone was thrilled with the effort Kendall put into the event, and his efforts were reflected in the success of the philanthropy. The festivities didn’t end on the football field. On the sidelines of the games, the ladies of Kappa Delta ran a “Pie a KD” stand. People would pay two dollars to pie a member in the face. This proved to be very successful. The Kappa Delta girls earned over 100 dollars just from the stand. Also after the games were over, two members from each organization competed in a Pokie Stick Eating Contest. Prizes of gift cards and T-Shirts were given to the winners of the eating contest and of the football games. The brothers of Delta Tau Delta and the sisters of Kappa Delta were ecstatic from the success of the philanthropy and we hope to host it again next spring. All News |
